About this Tool
The Malibu Rebuild Navigator (the “Tool”) is a beta-stage informational tool provided by newArch Inc. to help homeowners and their representatives understand the typical documents, agencies, and pathways that may apply when rebuilding in Malibu after the fires. The Tool organizes publicly available information based on the answers you provide. It is not an official determination, approval, interpretation, or advice from the City of Malibu or newArch Inc., and it does not substitute for the City’s formal plan review and permitting process. Use of the Tool does not create any entitlement to a permit, approval, or other governmental action.
The Tool and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” GIS layers, parcel records, code references, and other information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. You are solely responsible for independently verifying all information with official City records, applicable codes, your design professionals, and other authoritative sources before acting on it.
The City of Malibu and newArch Inc. each reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Tool at any time. Neither the City of Malibu nor newArch Inc. shall be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or delay arising out of or relating to use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Tool or its outputs. Use of the Tool is entirely voluntary, and you assume all risks associated with its use.

The Malibu Rebuild Navigator collects the property addresses you enter and, if you choose to submit one, your email address — both used solely to provide your results and stored in a private database managed by newArch Inc.
